Our Story

We Visited 50 Libraries Before Writing a Single Line of Code

In early 2025, our founders visited libraries across Patna, Lucknow, and Jaipur. What they found was the same everywhere: brilliant, hardworking owners running their businesses on WhatsApp groups and Excel sheets.

They were losing ₹8,000–15,000 every month to missed renewals — simply because they didn't have a system to track who was expiring when. Staff were managing seat availability from memory, leading to daily conflicts. Owners had no idea how much they actually earned last month.

The software that existed was built for government libraries or university systems — completely unsuitable for a private 60-seat study library in Patna running 3 shifts.

So we built SeatWise. Designed from scratch for Indian private study libraries. Live seat maps, WhatsApp reminders, UPI payment tracking, QR-code ID cards — every feature based on real feedback from real library owners.

We launched in October 2025 with 12 libraries in Patna. Six months later, 500+ libraries across 15+ states run on SeatWise. We're just getting started.

The Idea — 50 Library Visits
Our founders visit 50 libraries in Patna, Lucknow, and Jaipur. The problem is the same everywhere — no software built for Indian private study libraries. We decide to build it.

First Beta — 5 Libraries in Patna
We build the first version in 10 weeks and test it with 5 library owners in Patna. They collectively save ₹45,000 in missed renewals in the first month. We know we're onto something.

October 2025
Public Launch — 12 Libraries, Day 1
SeatWise v1.0 launches publicly. 12 libraries sign up on the first day. Within 30 days, we're at 80 libraries across 4 cities. The word spreads entirely through library owner WhatsApp groups.

SeatWise v2.0 — Native Mobile App
We launch native Android and iOS apps, digital QR ID cards, and multi-branch support. 200+ libraries are now on the platform. We hit ₹1Cr in total payments processed.

SeatWise is now used in 15+ Indian states with 500+ active libraries. We process ₹2Cr+ in library payments every month. Our mission to reach 50,000 libraries by 2028 is on track.
